Where and when
Grey Eagle Resort & Casino is at 3777 Grey Eagle Drive, Tsuut'ina, Alberta, T3E 3X8. It is owned and operated by the Tsuut'ina Nation, which entered Treaty No. 7 in 1877 and whose reserve borders Calgary's southwestern city limits.
The venue publishes these hours on its casino page:
- Slots: 24 hours daily
- Table games: 10 AM to 3 AM daily
The slot floor never closes, so there is no morning opening to wait for. If you plan to play table games, arrive at 10 AM or later. Poker room hours and holiday hours were not confirmed on an official page. Check the venue's site before a visit that depends on them.
Getting in
Gambling in Alberta is for adults aged 18 and over. Bring valid government-issued photo ID. Under provincial casino rules, staff must check ID for anyone who appears to be under 25 and must refuse entry if they are not satisfied the person is 18 or older.
An archived page of the venue's site says valid government-issued photo ID is needed for every Rewards Club membership transaction. A dress code is not published in the sources this guide checked.
On the floor
The venue describes 84,000 square feet of gaming. It lists slots, 32 table games, high-limit gaming, electronic games and bingo. The electronic games include Quartz Hybrid digital terminals offering blackjack, baccarat, roulette and other games.
Two official pages give different slot counts. One appears to refer to the renovated gaming space, so this note leaves the number out. The venue's resort-updates page mentions a designated, isolated smoking section within the gaming space.
The same archived page described a Grey Eagle Casino Rewards Club. It was free to join for members 18 or older, and points collected on each visit went toward member perks and discounts. The current name of the program is not confirmed, so ask at Guest Services or check the official site.
Food and extras
The venue lists these places to eat on its dining page and elsewhere on its site:
- Little Chief, an Indigenous-inspired restaurant at the hotel. Its hours are published by the venue.
- Buffet Restaurant, inside the casino and 18+ only. It is open through December 31, 2026, then closes temporarily from January 2027 for renovation.
- Blaze Bar & Grill menu, served from the Stage Bar from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM and from the Buffet Restaurant from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
- Stage Bar, a live-music bar with limited grab-and-go options. Smoking is not permitted there.
For a daytime visit, a late-morning arrival works well. Tables open at 10 AM, and the Blaze menu is available from 10:30 AM.
The resort also has a 178-room hotel and a large, non-smoking Event Centre. The Event Centre hosts touring acts, up-and-coming bands, theatre and stand-up comedy. Its schedule is under Upcoming Events on the official site.
Getting there
By car: overflow parking is in the Event Centre upper lot north of the hotel and in a lot south of the hotel. An older page of the venue's site described parking as free. Current rates, height limits, accessible stalls and EV charging were not confirmed.
Without a car: the venue does not publish transit directions in the sources this guide checked, and no nearest CTrain station is confirmed. Third-party trip planners show a Calgary Transit bus from downtown to a stop on Grey Eagle Boulevard, a short walk from the resort. Confirm the route and schedule with Calgary Transit before you set out. The guide's without a car page has more.
Before you go
Renovations are underway. The venue's resort updates page says many key amenities, dining, the hotel and entertainment remain open. Check it shortly before a visit, because outlets may change.
