Where and when
The resort is at 888 Nakoda Way, Mînî Thnî, Alberta T0L 1N0, off Highway 40 towards Kananaskis. The venue describes itself as the only casino in the Canadian Rockies.
It lies 66.3 km west of downtown Calgary in a straight line. This guide computed that figure from map coordinates. The venue's own estimate is about 45 minutes west of Calgary.
The resort stands on Treaty 7 territory. In the venue's words, the Stoney Nakoda are the original peoples of the mountains, known in the Nakoda language as Iyarhe Nakoda. AGLC lists it as one of six Host First Nation casinos in Alberta. Its designated licensed charity is the Mini Thni Foundation.
The venue publishes the same hours for Monday to Sunday:

| The Ridge (restaurant) | 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., breakfast until 11 a.m. |

Getting in
Gambling in Alberta is for adults aged 18 and over. Under AGLC's casino rules, staff must check valid government-issued photo ID for anyone who appears to be under 25. The venue does not publish its own door policy, so bring government-issued photo ID such as a driver's licence or passport.
The casino takes part in Winner's Edge, the province-wide loyalty program. Joining is free, and you can sign up at the guest services desk or at the Winner's Edge kiosk. Cards are picked up at Guest Services on showing government ID. Points are earned on slot play. The program's terms are on winnersedge.ca.
On the floor
The venue lists more than 300 slot machines. For table games it names roulette, blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold'em. It does not publish a table count.
No-Limit Texas Hold'em cash games run on Friday and Saturday nights. For details, ask a Games Manager or a supervisor in the main pit, or call 403-881-2832.
The main casino floor and Sidelines Lounge are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted in a separate, ventilated slot room at the back left corner of the casino, behind sliding glass doors.
Self-serve coffee, tea and water are complimentary throughout the casino. Other drinks can be bought from servers at your seat.

Getting there
The official site names no bus or shuttle, so this guide treats the trip as a drive. Without a car, this venue is not a practical outing on the notes available. The without a car page covers venues inside the city that are easier to reach.
Parking on site is complimentary. Trucks and recreational vehicles can also park free, but they must register at the front desk, for up to two nights.
A weekday daytime visit can be planned around the published hours:
- Leave Calgary in the morning and have breakfast at The Ridge, which serves it until 11 a.m.
- The slots open at 10 a.m.
- The tables open at 2 p.m.
- A lunch visit fits within The Ridge's hours, and Sidelines opens at 10 a.m.
If you would rather not drive back late, the 100-room hotel is on site.
